  5.      Abort an FTP get, put or dir operation in progress. If issued
  6. without an argument, the current session is aborted.  (This command
  7. works only on FTP sessions.) When receiving a file, abort simply
  8. resets the data  connection; the next incoming data packet will
  9. generate a TCP RST (reset) response to clear the remote server.  When
  10. sending a file, abort sends a premature end-of-file.

  12.      Note that in both cases abort will leave a partial copy of the
  13. file on the destination machine, which must be removed manually if it
  14. is unwanted.
